My X-mas Fairy Tale!

I wake up at midnight and run down the stairs,

I crashed by the christmas tree with joy.

Is that a  cuddly bear with big wide eyes,

Looking at me with a whole lot’a love?

I hug it,I kiss it, t’ was a long affair!

I see more presents wrapped in red,

suddenly,the door creaks and I shrink with fear,

But then , I hear a loud HO HO HO ,

Is that Mr.claus by any chance??

Everything around me goes pitch dark,

I hear him again ,a loud HO HO HO

This time it was from my room upstairs,

To my surprise, I find Mr.Claus,

sitting upright in my pink toy chair!

“ How do you do? ” asked Mr. claus,

My throat goes dry and my lips go pale,

I couldn’t believe it, I pinch myself ,

I find it hard to hold my laugh,

Mr.Claus looked a bit clumsy in his suit!

“let’s go for a ride” said Santa claus,

He lifts me up for a  ride in his sleigh,

But poor Rudolph was not himself ,

for, he was down with the flu so bad!

He sang through the ride and I joined at times,

over the hills and streams so wide,

I danced with reindeers and played with elves,

I didn’t know how time went by so quick!

“It’s time to go” said Santa claus

He dropped me back with tears welled up,

I open my eyes and am back in bed,

a tiny globe laying by my side!

I look inside and what do I see??

It’s me , santa and the elves in a sleigh,

It was no dream ,I knew for sure,

It was indeed  my X-mas fairy tale!!
